Finally moving into your new home is a very exciting process, but where do you start?
Here is what you should take care of in the first 24 hours of being in your new home.
Chances are before you moved in the home was cleaned but it can’t hurt to clean in just in case.
Also, sometimes there are spots that are missed during the moving process, so take the time to go over those and make sure they are spotless.
Another great reason to do this is that once your furniture is all moved in, you might not be able to reach certain spaces anymore. So cleaning those now will make sure the house is clean and smelling good once you’re all settled in.
Before you touch any boxes, go through and get your furniture where it needs to be, that way you can unpack it.
This means putting together any furniture that needs assembling as well as anything that doesn’t need it and putting it where it needs to be to not only be out of the way but the way you want it once the moving process is done.
If you didn’t have time to see the house and plan where the furniture was going to go, place it somewhere you think it will go best for the time being, after all, you’re going to be there a while so you can change it later.
You don’t have to unpack all in one day, but putting boxes in the right rooms will make unpacking a whole lot easier.
By doing this, you won’t have to run around looking for items either. All of it will be in the right room and your unpacking will go much quicker.
